JOSEPHINE SCHOLTES

Design Strategist with a passion for tech-driven and brand-driven innovation.

Besides my full-time job at Microsoft as a User Experience Consultant, I write articles, speak at events and conferences, and host The Design Strategy Podcast.

MY SKILLS

Workshop Facilitation

In my workshops I make use of design tools, such as storyboarding, brainwriting, stakeholder mapping in order to align business stakeholders, ideate about new product concepts and co-design products and services. These workshops often result in a prioritized list of opportunities or visual drafts of product concepts.

Design Research

In order to discover user needs, I apply different design research techniques such as qualitative interviews, observations, focus groups, context mapping and LEGO Serious Play. Consequently, I summarize and visualize the research results into need-based personas, user journeys and storyboards.

Prototyping

After identifying the user needs and aligning with the business, the design phase starts. In this phase I go through multiple iteration cycles together with the project team and stakeholders in order to design, evaluate, refine and deliver a clickable prototype.
